EZ Pass uses RFID (Radio Frequency ID) to let you go through toll booths faster and give you discounts at numerous NYC bridges & tunnels connecting Manhattan to the outer boroughs of Queens, Staten Island, the Bronx, and Brooklyn, and New Jersey. Stay current with the EZ Pass rates and changes – sign up for our FREE newsletter (in the box to the right).
No more tokens, cash, tickets, or coins. Just drive through the toll booth lane displaying the EZ Pass sign and the toll amount will automatically be deducted from your pre-paid account.
You set up your pre-paid EZPass acount with a credit card, personal check, or cash. Many gas stations and convenience stores sell the EZPass ‘transponders’ and then you’ll just go online to the EZPass site to activate your account. When your balance runs low your account will automatically be replenished with your credit card, or you’ll need to pay by check or cash.
