Do you ever get the jitters as you hand over your keys to the NYC parking garage attendant? I don’t know about you, but I am a big fan of self parking (in NYC especially). Leaving my car in a garage under the care of the garage attendants is one thing. Letting them drive it and park it is something else.
Garage attendants are parking your car in 97% of NYC parking garages (particularly in Manhattan). What do you do if you like to park your own car, rather than trusting the Valet?
We have a simple solution to this common self parking in NYC dilemma; Just park in any of the 35 garages and outdoor lots listed below.
One great benefit of using a self-park lot is that the NYC parking rate doesn’t typically have a surcharge for oversized vehicles because small vehicles and large vehicles are using the same amount of space in the car stalls. That saves you anywhere from $11 – $15 on your NYC parking rate! Unfortunately, many self-park garages will charge an overall higher monthly rate because there is a set capacity for how many cars can fit in the garage.
