This year, the Parade route is different.

-The Parade begins at 77th Street and Central Park West, and goes down Central Park West.
-When it hits Central Park South (CPS), it turns East (left) and goes along Central Park South. That’s different from other years, when it continues down Broadway.
-But it only stays on CPS for one (1) block. At 7th Avenue, the Parade makes a Right Turn onto 7th Avenue and goes South all the way to 42nd Street.
-At 42nd Street, the Parade turns Left and goes East on 42nd Street one block until it reaches 6th Avenue.
-At 6th Avenue, it turns South (right) and stays on Avenue of the Americas (6th Avenue) 8 blocks to get to 34th Street.
-At 34th Street, the Parade makes a Right Turn to go West on 34th Street towards Herald Square and will finish at 34th Street and 7th Avenue.

Where should you park?

You’ll pay the most along the Parade Route because the garages will probably put up a ‘Special Event Rate’.
You might find some deals by going above West 77th Street or below 34th Street.
You’ll definitely find great deals on the East Side. And then just take a nice walk through Central Park or midtown to get to the Parade.

All Street Parking is FREE, but you still CANNOT PARK where you normally can’t — where the signs say ‘NO STANDING’, ‘NO PARKING’, OR ‘NO STOPPING ANYTIME’. If you’re not sure, DON’T PARK THERE!

If you get a parking ticket, you definitely will not have a thankful Thanksgiving.
